چکیده

The massive decline of Norway spruce ( Picea abies (L.) Karst) has been observed in the Krušné hory during the last few decades. Before macroscopic changes occur (e.g . needle yellowing and foliar lost), the effect of stress factors is initially recognisable as the metabolic and microscopic changes. Phenolics compounds , lignin and photosynthetic pigments seem to be good indicators of needle previsible damage . Also spectral indexes seem to be good stress markers. Based on our previous research [1], the present study focused on a detailed study of physiological state of adult Norway spruce trees in the western and central parts of the Krušné hory in the year 2000.

Histochemical and biochemical approaches to the study of phenolic compounds and peroxidases in needles of Norway spruce (Picea abies)

The three youngest age-classes of needles of Norway spruce (Picea abies) were collected from four sites in the Krusne Hory Mountains (Czech Republic) characterized by different levels of damage caused by environmental pollution. Histochemical methods did not reveal any differences in localization of phenolics among the needles. Mesophyll cells close to the epidermis of needles and cells around ...

Nutrient Dynamics and Decomposition rate of Norway Spruce Needles in Stråsan and Lajim stands

Climate changes due to changes in a habitat leads to differences in the rate of decomposition and nutrient dynamics of leaflitters, which has many effects on the controlling factors of the decomposition process. In the present study, the rate of decomposition and nutrient dynamics of Norway spruce was evaluated for 363 days in the two forestation sites in the natural and foreign habitats, ...

The Use of Foliage and Soil Information for Managing the Nutrition of Sitka and Norway Spruce on Cutaway Peatlands

This investigation focuses on the development and nutrient status of the first Sitka spruce and Norway spruce stands established on milled cutaway peatlands in Ireland in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Phosphatic fertilization at planting is critical for the establishment of trees on cutaway peatlands but may not be sufficient to see the stands close canopy. Results from this study indicate th...

ارزیابی شاخص مزیت تجزیه خانگی لاشبرگ (HFA) در رویشگاه های راش، توسکا و توده دست کاشت نوئل منطقه لاجیم

The decomposition of leaf litter has important in the ecosystem level through regulating buildup of soil organic matter, regulating of nutrient for plant growth and influencing the flux of Co2 from the soil. Several studies have introduced Home-field advantage (HFA) as an index for indicating more rapidly decomposition process of litter in its own site. In the present study, beech and alder s...
